Highfield Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People (RQF)

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification is suitable for learners working, or wishing to work, with children and young people. This includes those in voluntary or unpaid positions.

How long will it take?

To complete this qualification, learners should expect to undertake a Total Qualification Time (TQT) of 10 hours, with 8 Guided Learning Hours (GLH). This is likely to be delivered as a 1-day course or 2 half-day sessions, depending on the training provider.

Topics covered

These include how to safeguard and protect children, young people and practitioners in the workplace, and know how to respond to evidence or concerns that a child or young persons has been abused.

This qualification is assessed by a learner workbook.
